Washer & Dryer Rental Agreement
Parties:
This agreement is between 615 Washer Rental (“Owner”),

AND the undersigned customer (“Renter”).
Equipment:
Owner rents to Renter the following appliances:

Term & Payment

Lease is for 6 months. After that, it continues month-to-month until ended by either party.

Renter must give at least 15 days’ notice to end the agreement.

Rent is $___ + tax per month, due on the ___ of each month.

First month’s rent is due at delivery.

Late Fee: Payments more than 5 days past due will incur a late fee of $25 or 10% of the monthly rent (whichever is greater). Continued nonpayment may result in removal of the equipment.
Delivery & Use

Owner delivers and installs equipment in good working order.
-
Renter agrees to use the appliances safely and only for normal household laundry.

Equipment must remain at the delivery address and may only be moved by the Owner.

Repairs & Service

Owner is responsible for normal repairs from regular use and may repair or replace units at their discretion.

Renter must report problems promptly by phone (615-900-5262) or email (615washerrental@gmail.com).

Owner will complete repairs or provide a replacement unit within 3 business days of notification (excluding holidays), provided Renter gives access to the equipment.

If repair or replacement takes longer than 3 business days, Rent will be reduced by $2 per day until service is completed.

Owner is not responsible for delays in repair or replacement if Renter does not allow access to equipment.

Renter is responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized repairs.
Loss or Damage

If equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear, Renter is responsible for replacement cost.
Liability & Indemnity
-
Owner is not responsible for injury, property damage, or laundry damage caused by use of the equipment.

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Owner from any claims, damages, or costs (including attorney’s fees) arising out of Renter’s use, misuse, or negligence related to the equipment.

Renter is encouraged to carry renter’s or home owner’s insurance.

I have been shown how to clean the lint trap in the dryer and will do this regularly. Initial ________

I have been shown how to shut off washer water hookups and will shut them off immediately if there is any leak, then contact Owner at (615) 900-5262.

Payment Authorization
By providing Owner with credit or debit card information, Renter authorizes:

Owner may charge the card for unpaid rent, late fees, unreturned equipment charges, and any applicable taxes.

This authorization is standing (not a one-time charge and not recurring monthly billing). It only applies if amounts become past due or equipment is not returned.

If a card payment is declined, Renter authorizes Owner to correct and re-submit the charge. Renter is still responsible for payment.

Renter may cancel this authorization at any time by notifying Owner in writing at 615washerrental@gmail.com . Cancellation does not remove Renter’s obligation to pay amounts owed.

Disputes will be handled through the card issuer’s dispute process and as provided in this lease.
Contact Information & Payment Method

Renter agrees to keep Owner updated with current contact information (address, phone, and email).

Renter must also keep a valid credit or debit card on file for payment of rent, fees, or other charges under this agreement.

Failure to maintain current information or a valid card on file is a violation of this agreement and may be treated as default.
Ownership & Removal
-
All equipment is the property of Owner. There is no option to purchase the Leased Property.
-
Equipment may not be removed from the delivery address.
-
Unauthorized removal will be treated as theft.
-
If equipment is not returned within 15 days of lease termination, Renter owes liquidated damages up to the full replacement cost plus handling fees, in addition to all other amounts due.
Default
Renter is in default if:
-
Rent or other amounts are unpaid for 5 days past due;
-
Equipment is abandoned;
-
Any other term of this agreement is broken.

If default occurs, Owner may:
-
Accelerate all unpaid rent and declare it immediately due.

Repossess equipment without notice.
-
Terminate this agreement.
-
Deal directly with the landlord or property manager for access.
-
Pursue all remedies allowed by law, including attorney’s fees and collection costs.
Access
Key Release:
-
Renter agrees that Owner and/or its representatives may enter the premises at customer’s address to deliver, inspect, repair, or remove the leased property, and customer expressly authorizes customer’s landlord or property manager to provide access and allow entry by Owner.

Customer releases Owner, Customer’s landlord or property manager, and any of their representatives, from any and all liability with respect to such entry.
Termination
-
Owner may remove equipment immediately if rent is unpaid or terms are violated.

Owner reserves all rights under Tennessee law (including TCA §39-14-103, §39-14-108).
